This looks like a great way to show the world beauty through strength, and life happens where you are. I hope this show does well.

Watched both episodes today and thought it was really good. Think people should give it a try before saying it sucks as I've seen some say in other threads.
I agree with SS. It reminded me of the only 2 female para Friends I knew in the 80s, before one followed the other by moving south for warmer whether. Now I'm missing them! They were as fun and as wild as us young guys were. Wish I knew what they're up to some 25 years later. I'll be watching to see how it progresses!

Hey,
Where can we download these SS?
I have a couple links posted here: http://www.apparelyz...ls/#entry292018
My wife and I are watching it together. As I mentioned in the other thread, I like to see how other wheelers deal with day-to-day challenges, always picking up new ways to do things.

Dont worry you are not alone on being scared of the stairs, I hate them as well. No way I would attepmt them alone and when I have to my husbin brings me up them and then it takes a while for my stomach to calm down from all the spining it was doing on my way up. I dont know why I dont like it so much my husbin dose it often for me and in my six years in the chair he has never droped me. But about the push girls they are awsome I wish I could do some of the stuff they can, infact they are inspireing me to try harder.I saw both episodes and thought it was really good. Although I must say that I cant do half of the stuff they do. One of my biggest fears since my accident has been stairs. I cant even begin to think about attempting to go down stairs in my chair! I cringe just thinking about it but they made it look easy! Im not big on reality shows either but I think this is one I will watch just because I can actually relate to alot of it.

It's only half an hour (22 min. minus the adds), so squeezing 4 lives into such a limited amount of time will be daunting, but I thought it was done rather well, and certainly worth a look:

Try sidereel.com. If that doesn't work, you'll just have to google "push girls online" and be careful not to download any "viewing" software without checking it first (televisionfanatic.com is one to stay away from).Anyone know anywheres I can watch this from Cananada

You can watch the show on Sundance...or (like me) on the internet on tv-links.com. Just google, "watch push girls online free", then click on tv-links
Moreover, I can identify with each of the four women in the show.
Angela is my favourite woman. She seems the most intelligent and grounded. She's the least dramatic. I'm only a para (and I am able to walk) but the fact that she is a quad and still pushes and challenges boundaries inspires me. She just seems the most real to me.
Mia is my second favourite woman. I love anything athletic and will endeavour to pursue it. My only query with her is that she no longer wishes to pursue walking. I'm only 4.5 years in recovery and still push to improve my physical ability. I do physio every week and hit the gym 2-3 times/week in addition to physio. I live in Canada and just hit Canada Day Ribfest this weekend and took my walker to the event and spent 4.5 hours walking around...and ate ribs (albeit only 5) from 5 different vendors. Lest some miraculous scientific discovery, I will never run down the sidewalk in stilettos again (I do wear them in my wheelchair at all opportunities, however) but i will never give up improving my physical ability. I've long made peace with my injury, I just don't want to settle when there is always room for improvement.
After my injury, it was all about recovery and it seemed I was always in workout gear which is sporty-cute but I missed being more feminine and more sexy. I love to be pretty and sexy and feminine. It's been difficult to project myself in that way being in a wheelchair. I felt that my chair was more of a "sport accessory". Pre-SCI, I was the slip dress and stiletto girl and I've really had to reinvent my style since my injury but I think I've accomplished it. Tiffany does that in this form of media for all of us and I appreciate this from her. You can still be feminine, pretty and sexy in a wheelchair. I no longer see my chair as a "sport accessory".
Auti is edgy and she's a fighter. I totally love that. Sadly, she turned to addiction after her injury and she's been brainwashed into cultism in order to break her addiction. To me, that discredits her.
Notwithstanding, the show is FABULOUS. Hence, on with the show!!!
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

*Wheelchairs are made of a special ocular magnetic alloy......they're "eyeball magnets".*
*I USE a wheelchair, that does NOT make ME a wheelchair!*
