Attached File  The_miracle_worker.doc   49K   333 downloadsAttached File  The_Institute_of_Neurology.doc   40K   341 downloadsThis looks quite promising. I've followed this line of research ever since I sustained my C4/C5 injury in '94. UK based (as I am), no third party involvement, no patents and a roll out strategy if the trials, which are due to start in Sept '06, are successful. What do other people think?

I read through both documents and it certainly appears to be a step in the right direction (no pun intended).
The research was based on rats 2 months post injury. I wonder if the same level of success would be achieved at 20 years plus post injury.
I am sure that Dr Raismen and his team will have no shortage of willing volunteers. I truly wish them all luck.

My GP has admitted that although I am fit and healthy :toast: I would be at the bottom of the list of candidates offered a "cure" in whatever form that takes.

Please keep us posted if you "go for it" :dev:

I think it was just his opinion. He probably meant that there were so many "newer" SCI who would benefit and the fact that I am not desperate for a cure.
So don't take it that just because one GP not even a spinal Doc says that I probably wont be considered, doesn't mean you won't either.
