Sometimes I get these flu feelings like muscle achiness, fatigue and slight headache. I know that these can be signs of a UTI but they usually come and go in a day. \ Wouldn't these feelings continue if I had an infection?

I get the same type of flu like symptoms before a uti as well as muscle spasms at night, but as soon as i get the uti the symptoms go away. I wasn't quite sure about your question, if you were saying you wern't sure if you knew you had a uti or not? If that was the case..you'd know if you had one as your bladder will need to empty more frequently and normally as soon as you wee you feel like you need to do another one also changes in colour of your wee can be an indication. Sory..i don't think i've helped you much here

Hiya,

Yeah I get really achey muscles when I have a UTI. I also find that the symptoms come and go, sometimes depending on how much I've drunk. It makes it difficult to decide whether you have an infection or not when the symptoms aren't comtinuous B)
Paraplegic with Spina Bifida. Sensory and function level is T8. T11-L5 fusion 1993. Laminectomy and decompression T10 2006. Spinal fusion T8-T12 with instrumentation Feb 2007. Moderate kyphoscoliosis. Taking 75mg Lyrica 3xday for neuropathic pain.

Its good to know that you guys get the same feelings, I probably do have an infection. By the time I get in to see the doctor 2 weeks will have gone by!

2 WEEKS?!! That's riddiculous!! :licklips: Can't you send off a urine sample to the hospital? That's what we do here, although takes a week! I thought that was bad enough! I hope you feel better soon! :dunno:
