My real name: Sandra Villanueva, I am 35 years old, disabled due to a car crash accident when I was a baby, I suffered SCI and due to it I'm a wheelchair user, I am single (never married), I am an English Teacher and Translator.
My life has never been easy for me but I have grown up being a strong and hardworking woman who never stops.

I'm an advocated for the disability issues, I have been working on it since 1993,but on March 2004 I created Wheels for Independence .

Wheels for Independence is a project for talking/helping and supporting disabled people, sharing ideas, experiences and all resources availables for people with special needs, there is no a specific disability topic, nor age, all people Disabled and Non disabled can participate, we just need being aware that nobody is excluded of being a disabled person, and if we try to put ourselves in other people's shoes, depending what kind of disability we have, we can understand how hard life can be sometimes in all senses.

One of the main objectives of Wheels for Independence is showing people that despite our disabilities we can be hardworking and productive human beings, in the same way we can develop a very and almost normal life in the sense of living a life with all what it offers us.

If you simply want to share ideas with us please join us and share your life experiences. :boxing:

Thanks.
