i have had a wound on my butt cheek in the past which was caused by a dodgy transfer, it then became more complicated because of the location and took a whopping 10 months to heal. golden rule: keep off it.
hope this helps

Press on it gently with your finger. Hold it there for a few seconds and then remove it. should be white and then the redness or pink color should go away after about 30 seconds and return to normal skin color. If the pain he feels in his bottom is a pins and needles type of pain, that is common with an SCI. Does he do pressure reliefs regularily while in his wheelchair? Turning to lay on your side helps to relieve pressure while laying in bed. What kind of seat cushion is he sitting on? Is the spot you see that you think is bothering him rough or cracked? It is norma for the bone at the base of the pelvis to turn red fro pressure. You should learn the four stages of a pressure sore. PVA paralyzed veterans of america or christopher and dana reeves foundation will show you the stages and what to look for.
pressure relief, yes he is good with that, he sleeps in all different positions
he uses a 2 inch roho
Its not cracked but there are like pimples
its like right under his butt check.. where the bottom of the butt check meets the very top of your thigh

Get it examined promptly to make sure it isn't pressure-related, but you may be lucky and it may just take a bit of topical medication. My b/f had a fungal infection so bad it was literally from his knees to his waist, but treatment was relatively simple and cheap.
Good luck!
