HI

Has anyone been on the QM2,or any cruise ?

We have booked for next year, fly out to Dubai, then sail back to UK, on this ship.

We have a disabled access cabin, this should be ok for my husband, and i.

I feel really nervous, as we havent been on this type of cruise before, and have never been on a long flight.

In fact this year we havent been anywhere,as my husband has been ill, but is better now.

Hello,
I've never been on QM2 but in 2002 I did the cross atlantic journey on the QE2. It was very interesting. The handicap cabin had a larger bathroom than anywhere else on the ship. I was able to have enough room to do my bowel program, cath, and brush my own teeth even being able to spit in the sink. The service was amazing! 24 hour room service, buffets, etc. We did kind of stick out on the QE2. I was the only person on board with a disability, it seemed we were the only Americans on board and we were a group of 10 people, 7 of us kids between 4-18 years old. People were really nice though and by the end of the trip it seemed we knew everyone. But it was my dream to go on the QE2 and we made the trip fun. By the way make sure to pack "formal" clothes to wear at the "nice" resturant and for the captain's dinner. They have a jacket and tie dress code. We forgot the guys' suits and they had to rent tuxes on the ship. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
