When I was in the hospital I developed a heat rash from laying down all the time. The attending Physiatrist prescribed a powdered medicine that was rubbed onto my back periodically. While I can't remember the name of the medicine, I'd be astonished if 1 of the 4 doctors you've seen hasn't tried something comparable.

Does my situation sound familiar to yours? Are you required to lay down alot on your back and find yourself sweating often? What hasn't cleared up the rash thus far?

Hi joeannet...

When I was first injured I developed such a severe rash/acne all over my face/body that they took photographs for medical reference records!!! Half my hair fell out too

It was believed to have been triggered by stress and even now when I get really stressed I get stress acne round my jaw line. I was put on long term antibiotics and eventually the rash cleared up several weeks later.

Suggest you see your GP with a view to being referred to a skin specialist. Maybe you have become allergic to something since your accident. :bye:

I sympathize with you, it's a miserable condition to live with. I really hope you get it sorted out soon... let us know how you get on.

Neck injury triggers the bodies glands to start over secreting thus spots/zits etc, this has been known for decades. Mine lasted about 3 yrs initially bad on my face for 12 months ish but on my back 3 yrs or so.
Eventually asubsides, just time.
