For those of you who drink, does it throw you off your bowel program?
Before my accident, I would drink. Sometimes a little, other times a LOT! But the next morning I would always have to go. It seem this still holds true after my accident. So, whenever I drink, I end up going at random times throughout the next serveral days, thus my reason for not drinking. Just wondering if anyone else has this same problem and what do you do?

I never have red wine and red meat together unless it's on the eve of my bowel routine.
Too much beer also causes a reflex, as does too much coffee.
Once you find the pattern of foods which react and cause the bowel reflex, you can still enjoy those foods and drinks, but just time their consumption to coincide with your bowel routine the following day.

I do the same as Simon. But if i do end up having a big night that i didn't plan, i'll do a bowel routine in the morning even if it's not a bowel day because my stomache ALWAYS gets crook after drinking too much..especially red wine. I only drink red wine or champagne and both of these seem to be quite hard on the stomache

jason's never noticed that drinking affects his bowel routine, but then that's probably because he drinks so much his bowels are used to it
