Count every ' F ' in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...

(SEE BELOW)

HOW MANY ?

WRONG, THERE ARE 6 -- no joke.
READ IT AGAIN !
Really, go back and try to find the 6 F's before you scroll down.

The reasoning behind is further down..

The brain cannot process 'OF'.

I knew the second thing but the first is very interesting!
Either you choose to be blessed to be cursed or cursed to be blessed. I choose to be blessed to be cursed.

I have a friend who had dyslexia and would decipher words by their shape. A very intelligent guy who, as an adult, taught himself to read properly. The second test must have been what it was like for him growing up.

bet the "of" issue has to do with its sound. of makes a "v" sound, so your brain looks for a "v" and not an f. the other fs made a soft fffff sound.

That might be true mcf,, but I've seen this same thing before,, several times. Even knowing about the "of" thing,, and not reading but counting,,, I still only counted 5 the first four or five times. It wasn't until the real total was revealed that i found the sixth. Missed the second of every time.

Very interesting. I blew right past all three of them.
