Just curious for all the people that are able to transfer on their own... Those that work in an office or in some type of job that AB people would typically sit down to perform... Do you stay in your chair all day or do you transfer over to an office chair when sitting stationary and then transfer back to your wheelchair when you need to move about?

I just stay in my chair. I tried sitting on the office chairs, but they were to uncomfortable. Plus it was a pain in the ass when having to move around. I had to keep getting back into my chair and that did not fare to well with me.
LIFE IS NOT A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION OF ARRIVING SAFELY IN A PRETTY AND WELL PRESERVED BODY,
BUT RATHER TO SKID IN BROADSIDE, THOROUGHLY USED UP, TOTALLY WORN OUT, AND LOUDLY PROCLAIMING----WOW----WHAT A RIDE!!!

Marty

Me personally if I take my chair in (depends how far I have to walk) then I sit in an office chair as it's more comfy all day but it is an expensive multi adjustable one but I have been to other offices where it was better in my chair.

I sit in my office chair - they bought me a new one. I can walk into office though as it isn't far. I use my chair though when youth club is open and stay in it all night.

i can't stand substitute teachers! well, the ones at my school anyway, they have no people skills!! the only good thing about them is that they're really gullible and can't control the class!

anyway, if jason has a single lesson, like, one that just lasts an hour, then he'll stay in his chair, but if he has a lesson that lasts two hours or more, then he'll tend to sit in a school seat, just for a change, and then all his mates can mess around in his chair and scare the life outta the teachers! :yahoo:

 I don't really like sitting in school chairs...not anymore, I never actually get in one since the accident, I mean come on, I love my chair :P and I just want to sit on "her" all day long  Plus, the teacher don't trust me being transfered, they say I'm "highly dangerous" :yahoo:

yep, teachers aren't really fond of jason doing anything, especially in the ICT lessons, because they're those plastic swivelly chair thingys, but jason tends to ignore them and just do it anyway. jason loves his chair too, it's just much funnier watching all his friends try and do wheelies and such! :yahoo:

I love watching my friends making a fool of themselves when they don't know what to do. I just sit back and don't say anything and let the fun begin!  :boxing:

I decided to just stop class for awhile, pop a wheelie and just "accidently" fell backwards. :specool: Everyone freaked and for the rest of the period

LOL, I done the same thing a few times and then when I graduated I done it after I recieved my diploma and was going the ramp at the end of the stage. Everyone in the stands went nuts thinking I had hurt myself but my whole class just laughed.

I've had jobs I stay in my chair and some that I jumped into the office chair for. All depends on the job, the chair, office space....
