I am currently unsure about getting spokeguards. I dont see a reason as to why I would need them in my every day wheels but was thinking about them for my offroad wheels. I havent had it happen yet but I am a bit concerned about getting a stick or something through the spokes when baha'ing through the woods and dont want to wreck my offroad wheels.

So the question is... whos got them currently? Any disadvantages that you have found so far with them? Would this actually help in my situation to keep sticks etc out of the spokes when cruzin offroad?

NOTE: I currently have this chair setup with 0 degree camber and am going to be changing it to 8 degree camber so not sure if that will make a difference with keeping junk from getting in the spokes either.

For your skills and abilities. But one word will suffice.

Superfluous. Not necessary, just extra junk to tote about.

Thanks for the info, I wont bother getting these then if they dont serve any purpose and wont be necessary in keeping the sticks etc out of my spokes when out in the fields hunting.

I had them in high school, they were good for everyone sticking their stickers on, sorta of like a skateboard, and for people to write all over, other then that I found no use for them.

I didn't used to have them but after having a thumbnail ripped off by my wheels. After that I got some clear plastic ones. I never thought I'd need them...after all I went for years and only had one other time where I just bruised a finger. I guess it's a matter of how fast do you go in yours, how scared of hurting a finger are you, and if you like russian roulete.

I have spoke protectors on all my chairs.
i kinda likem the sporty look, plus at one time almost took a finger off when I got caught in the spokes somehow with my hand.

Also, I usually ride fast and stuff so I like to be protected from slipping into the spokes by accident and also find that nothing gets caught in the wheels so easily.
