i have been on hydrocodone for about 10 months.i have decided that i want to live a drug free life.but i am now in the 3rd day in to sobriety and am having very frequent symptoms of ad.i am checking mysely my bladder is empty and bowels are too.i am not physically having anything that could comtribute to my ad.the only thing that i can think of is that i must be really hurting below my point of injury and it is giving me some bad symptoms right about now.i just now took some to see if that is what it is so i guess we will see.please reply if anybody has been in this situation.by the way i am a t-4,5 and c-5,6 paraplegic.

I've stopped taking pain medications but only after a period of weening off the amount I was ingesting. Is there any other reason that you've taken into account for stopping so abruptly?

I've detoxed off some serious opiates (methadone, oxycontin, oxycodone) and funnily enough, am now. Do steadily....thats for sure.
