benefit advice needed

hi all. as you may know my wife is my carer and she was looking into doing homework,she was told its not guaranteed or regular so the money changes from week to week,the work would be mon,wed and fridays i get dla which would not be affected but we get income support,incap benefit rent and council tax paid so could anyone tell me would it be worth doing? thanks in advance for any reply :)

I cant comment on income support or council tax but Incap Ben is unaffected as that's yours. As you said DLA is unaffected. As your wife is your main carer she shouldbe getting Carers Allowance which would be affected if she earned more than 60quid (I think)/week.
The SIA used to have an excellent benefits advisor before they moved to its new HQ but she stayed in London and thus had to leave the SIA. Now I'm not sure they have anyone but ring them and ask.
