I was at Shepherd from the middle end of November 2008 to the beginning of February 2009. That includes inpatient and outpatient therapy.

I was on Dr. Murray's B Team: Jenny Cowhig, Jana Candia, Angel (the tech), and Cheryl.

Great people.

I had outpatient rehab at Sunshine Hospital Community based rehab in Melbourne, Australia and was taught absolutely nothing and discharged when the physio said there was nothing more they could do for me because my "walking" wasn't improving. Almost everyone else at the rehab center was there for cardiac rehab or joint replacement rehab so most were really old and wouldn't speak English!
Since then I have gone downhill something shocking and they still don't know what's wrong!

I had one surgery at cartersville medical center. Then another one at Scottish right of Atlanta Georgia where I stayed for 2 months of inpatient rehab. Then after a month at home I went to shepherd center of Atlanta Georgia for about 3 weeks in the beginning of November 2008. I'll be going back to shepherd for the nrn walking program in April. :specool:

This might be something to look into, is Moss Rehab. Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. They are currently undergoing a new exoskeleton device to help you walk for those with spinal cord injuries and also for rehabilitation purposes. They currently are undergoing clinical trials.

I went to Warm Springs Rehab Hospital in San Antonio. Top-notch therapist, good counselor, mediocre nursing (had some good ones, but also had several without a clue about SCI), and mediocre administrators.

Institute for Rehab Medicine (IRM), aka Rusk Institute in Manhattan in 1978. I was in there with Ron Turcotte who rode Secretariat to the Triple Crown. They had brought Larry Flynt in while I was there, however, they didn't let him stay. BUMMER!!
