I am desprit for advice here.
I am fighting for all of my supplies, from caths and prescriptions to wheelchairs and bathchairs. I am a work comp case so I was told that would help me because they will pay for everything and they will get me supplies that normal insurance may not be able to supply. So why am I waiting on all of my equipment?

I want to get back out and start to bike agian or do something aerobic but I can't afford the hand cycles.

Anyone want to take a crack at helping this desprit women out?

My advice, FWIW, is to stay on it....get on the horn everyday until they remember your name, birthdate, favorite color, etc., etc. I had to fight with my HMO like a junkyard dog...even had to blow up a couple of times, and was told, "I wondered when you would have had enough". If there's appeals involved, appeal, appeal, appeal...and in a timely fashion...don't let them lapse.

WC is the devil's spawn...there going to make it as difficult as they can. Only the tenacious survive....so show 'em what you're made of. :bye:

I got lucky and have an awsome insurance company that has approved everything either I or the doctors or PT have requested and they have done so quickly... trust me, I know how lucky I am.

My sisters boyfriend though on work comp and he is a bit of a jerk to begin with. He was on the phone with him every day, more than once on some days complaining and being a bigger jerk to them than he normally is. He actually got things done pretty quickly. I wouldnt recommend the being a jerk part because hey probably requested more than he is letting on and being such a jerk about it made them deny some things and the consistent calling made them get moving on certain things. But it does second what Joed said though... keep calling and call often.
