As well as having the builders in so we've still got no kitchen (a situation which should hopefully be rectified by the middle of next week) and there's dust everywhere which gets on my wheels and then onto my clothes.

That's bad enough but on Monday the fault light on the car came on and it looks like it needs a new gearbox.

I've been feeling really rubbish and tired for the last couple of weeks without anything to really pin it down to or any specific symptoms, took a sample to the docs yesterday during a routine visit and it appears I have picked up a UTI so I'm now on antibiotics and drinking like a fish (but not the alchoholic variety unfortunately).

Phone line at home is down so no internet access.

Hopefully I'll start to feel a bit better by tomorrow as I'm supposed to be at a Ball!

When it rains, it pours. They say it comes in '3's', so you should've met your quota...that's the good news. (?)

Having no kitchen and all the chaos would drive me insane. If we ever remodel our kitchen/bath...I'm just gonna get a motel room and they can ring me up when it's done.

Sorry to know that all this is pressing in on you...and I hope you get feeling better soon. Can't have a ball without russ...you know, the handsome one. ;)

Be Well~

Russ,

Wow I can't say I've been that unlucky all in a week since leaving hospital but I can empathise with all the builders dust/crap as we've had 3 extensions etc but though it seems like forever in reality it's only 6-10 weeks depending on the job (longer for bigger) then I tell you within 6-12months you can't remember the 'old place' it's weird so hang in there & chin up and all that stuff... gotta be on the up now.

Poor Russ, I hate it when things go wrong one after another. I call it a Monty Pythons foot week. When I have no control over events I look skywards and say loudly, "Why don't you P*** off and annoy someone else, I don't need this right now" Makes me feel better even if it doesn't change anything. :)

Hope you make it to the Ball. Remember don't do anything I wouldn't do! :)

Sorry to hear that Russ, sometimes its just one thing after another ay. My weeks been pretty rotten too so i can sympathize , what with my car in desperate need of repair and my unsympathetic care manager not allowing me any time off but wanting me to work seven days.... ive been so stressed and spent most my week in tears. Keep your chin up :mfrlol:
Lets hope for a better one next week handsome :helpme:

Thanks for the thoughts guys and girls - just needed a bit of a vent.

Weekend has seen things look a lot brighter, I've started feeling human again, the Ball was an absolute blast and my 10yr old has just been offered a contract to play for oxford united academy.

I love the Monty Pythons foot idea :doctor:

Cars still knackered and the builders are still in though!
