I've always had a bit of a green thumb, and have thought about caring for a Venus Fly Trap for some time. So I was fairly excited when I found this "Carnivorous Plant Set." Time to put in a good word with Santa's little helper (Melinda).

Is there anything that you're hoping for?

Aside from "Peace on Earth"....I'd like Santa to bring me a vanity make-up mirror, so that I can mount it low on the wall and use it from my w/c. Trying to apply make-up in 30 second intervals at the bathroom sink mirror isn't cutting it. (stand up, fall down, stand up, fall down)

Joed, I know exactly what your talking about. Being in a chair and doing make up is a drag you just cant get close enough to get it on right. I do have an idea for you if Santa doesnt make it around your house; a mirror that stretches out to you that is mounted on the wall. I've seen one before and been wanting to get it. Its chrome and not that bad looking its able to come right up to your face and your hands are free to do what you need. Just a suggestion....

Being that were putting our wish list out there I would like a new Dodge Charger suped up with ALL the extras  to fly right on by to the next year.

If only....................

Non-physical: Health, Love, Happiness and Prosperity for my family and friends. As a matter of fact, why not spread that around to everyone!!

The World: Peace

Physical: While married I rarely let my husband buy me any Christmas or birthday presents. I always wanted to spend all I could afford on my family. Family comes before self to me!!!!

My b/f and I do exchange both birthday and Christmas gifts. We do not (or at least have not yet) set a limit on birthday presents. However, we do set a limit of $20 for Christmas. With having to buy for several and not wanting to leave anyone out, it puts less strain on being able to purchase gifts for everyone. He could spend $1 on me and I would be fine with that.

But what would I really deep down (birthday or Christmas) like from him? A ring! Not engagement, as we will never marry, but some sort of ring showing his love and committment to me. And it would not have to be elaborate for sure.

B/F is Quad C 4,5,6 incomplete as of July 27, 1969.

I hope Santa Claus brings me an end to this F'n nightmare. Seven years ago I went in for "routine" hernia surgery. My surgeon messed up and that started a vicous chain reaction of events that nearly killed me, (lung failure and 107.9 fever) and has left me with permanent brain and spinal cord damage.

Santa, please help me find the strength and courage to deal with this sh*t sandwhich life has given me. I'm tired of the pain, the suffering, the mourning, the depression, the nightmares, and the prayers for death. My body is my prison to which there is no escape.

Please Santa I've tried to be good, please bring me peace.

:bye:

CaptDave, I'll send thoughts and prayers up for you, but not to the North Pole. Having had polio since the age of 8 months, I have lived with pain all my life. However, I do not know the pain you feel as each and everyone of us here have different types and degrees of pain and other aspects going on with our disability/disabilities. If you ever want to talk, I would be glad to listen. My yahoo address is so_lady_ca_born. Sending you the biggest of big hugs........... :bye: :yahoo:
