i have never used cath. thanks God, i perfectly control my bladder and can hold. but, quite often i get at the places where i can't use a W/C-friendly restroom. is there some kind of temporary cath? something condom-like i put on only when i need to pee? maybe my question is confusing, but, sorry i don't have such an experience.

yep there is a condom cath and they're pretty easy to put on you have to keep checking them because they will slip of, come undone etc.

take care

A condom cath is just what it sounds like..........a condom that unrolls down your penis but the end has an opening that you attach a tube to then attach to a leg bag. It would be perfect for going out or times that you might not be able to get to the bathroom. All you do is urinate right into the condom and it goes down the tube into the bag. :)

Nope......it's not hard to put on at all. You just put it on the tip of your penis and roll it down..............that's it. You could put it on before you leave home and take it off when you get back. There shouldn't be any reason that you would have any leakage with it. Try one out a few times when you are around the house so that you can get the hang of it.

This is the type that I use. WideBand Sheath

Never had one slip off. Though there is a tendancy to rip a fews hairs out when I take it off. Not doubt if I had sensation there it would be agony! Pop it on and wear it all day.

I have the same problem have tried these condom cath with not much luck. If you get it working the first time then you have no probs all day but if the first time the cath is twisted then the cath "blows" off. I have also tried nappies/diapers an they are better cos there is less chance of leakage an no legg bag to worry about
