Tetra Pipe smoking, independently.

You know when you want to smoke your pipe? (And there's some good tetra accessible pipes about] But the problem is how do you strike the match to smoke it? There is nothing wrong with getting somebody else to light it for you, but there is nothing like being able to smoke how much you want when you want it.

I used to have a long fiddling way involving a pen and feeding strap, but it was difficult and quite precarious in achieving its aims.

I bought some of these Pic almost 5 years ago thinking they would come in useful for something, but I couldn't think what. And then the other day it occurred to me. This is how I make best use of these.

1. I put one of the handles of the gripper in my mouth. I then press the other handle with my hand to open the grip. With my free hand I place the match between the teeth of the gripper.

2. I then hold the gripper in my hand like so; Pic 0

3. hold the matchbox still with my free hand, and then strike at leisure. Pic 0

The added bonus of using this method is that the match is well away from the hand and doesn't burn your fingers.

Note, the gripper I've got actually had a groove in both teeth of the gripper in which the match sits perfectly.
Note, use this method at your own discretion and your own risk. :D
