I'm new to your forum. I'm a C/5C/6 QUAD of 22-years. I read some post on the old thread. I had a spinal cord stimulator for ten years. Removed it in 1997 when I found out I might have Syringm. in order to use an MRI. Having had Suringm. from then until know, my cyst rather large, must under go surgery. They grow slowly. I have a spectrum otomy surgery and a stint implanted in my urethral since 1998. I maintain a good diet, carrot juice, barlygreen, fruits, etc. My legs hurt all the time but I don't take pain pills. Bladder infections once a year. With the help of our Lord and God the father, a premier neurosurgeon I should pull through.

In 1985 I fail from a roof in a construction accident. Ex-Navy (1977-1983), YN2

My fingers don’t work, limited use of my hands, functioning wrist extension and arm movement. No triceps

Finishing a four year project at http://www.uscarrierhistory.com I’m pretty tired of hen picking on the key board with a pointer, but can’t stop, fully addicted and a member of the MAIL CALL.

I designed my own wheelchairs for the last 18-years and my new one is really cool. These picks show the commode bucket in the center, while my chair the commode whole in the eat will be in the back (3"by8") center of the seat beginning from the back.

The back will be raised up 5" because I have a 4" ROHO cushion with a buttocks cut out in order to relieve tail bone pressure and in case I drop the bomb I need not be cleaned up out of the wheel chair because my pants have no bottom. Underneath my ROHO are 1/2" three ply and a 1" sponge rubber foam to adsorb the chair movement out doors. Ten miles an hour.

There is much I can share about SCI's. 22-years, no pain medicines, diet and therapy (bicycle/standing/range of motion), the most important, while attitude and emotions as important.

My future is what I make it. Yet this injury is tough and facing me is another obstacle which must be over comed if I'm to prevail.

I shall over come all obstacles because I believe in myself and our Lord Jesus and while others may not, I open my arms to all with an open mind, respectful nature and love and compassion and am willing to share much, but in order to do so seperate threads on various topics would be necessary in order to impact a greater understanding for many enduring simular hardships.

What I'm into:

searched the net and found this site. I'm a professional writer one key at a time. I'm not much for pity or dis-respectful people. I'm an American, proud of my heritage and love my family members and friends. I help Veterans when I'm able. I'm a member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

In time I'd like to share a few things related to SCI.

Most importantly for me, is to believe in myself and be proud of my accomplishments. Sharing my plight is something I've never done before.

Anyone that believes in theirselves will suceed.

a nice concept! sure you need to sophisticate it and work out around a bit more. but could be a good foundation.
