Ho hum.... Ive posed this question before BUT my festive/b'day pressie is going to be a new chair. Ive decided on a folding one as it has proved a squeeze to get us all in the car and the chair, so Im scouting about. Im really keen on Tilite as they look cool, get good reports and are lightweight. Specifically Im interested in the XC, X or SX. Apart from slight differences in looks, is there any basic difference in these models, as the specs look more or less the same? Does anyone have one? Im going to import from the US, thus saving a small fortune, but I want to make sure I get it right.

Cheers
L

I cant comment on the chairs you are looking at but for my folding chair I got a Quickie 2HP, lighter than the standard Quickie 2 chairs by a few pounds, standard titanium axels and have much less flex as well. If you need the swing away leg rests though this chair wouldnt be an option as it has a fixed front frame. The Quickie 2HP kinda pops into place when unfolding and there are a couple of brackets that the chair sits in to keep it from flexing much too.

Good luck on your search.

The XC has a fixed rear axle location, so you have to be absolutely certain about your rear seat to floor height and center of gravity to order this model. The X has an adjustable axle plate but has a fixed front frame. The SX has an adjustable axle plate and swingaway legrests. It tends to be wider than the other TiLite folders and can create accessibility issues if you have a seat width >18". They are supposed to be introducing the next generation SX within the next month or so.
