Whenever I get a little constipated and I eat something I get these spasms that come on slow and increase instrength until my body, abdomen and legs are just going crazy it all comes to a peak in about 20 minutes then it ends completely. Does anyone else ever have this happen, Would really like to know why it happens.

Hi there,
I haven't had experience of it happening with constipation but it does happen to me when I've either been really active, have hurt myself or eaten too much! My lower body goes mental and my legs fly up and down all over the place for ages. It's kinda nice when it peaks though, cos you know it usually means it's gonna stop!

Oh yay!!! I know that sounds stupid, but I am so tickled to hear about someone else having this happen. I thought it was just me.... I first noticed it when I was leaving a chinese all you can eat place, I had stuffed myself silly.... when we were rolling out, my legs were all over the place...
How embarrassing. Wonder what thats all about??

I know what you mean, I get these a lot and the legs just go up and down like crazy, the whole chair shakes.
I also get those sometimes when I transfer or in the mornings a lot.
Also, it is so very hard to expalin to ppl what this spasticity is and that a) you do not feel these movements and B ) how you even have this when you are in fact totally paralyzed there and cannot move on your own.

Had this happen to me just the other day again. I got "stuck" in a store... I was looking for cloths and as you all know, the isles often times are just too narrow. I got my chair wedged in between two racks and a support post. Normally when I get stuck between two racks I just push a bit and then push the clothes behind my handrims, push again, etc till I'm through but the support post managed to get me wedged in there. I went back and forth for about 2 full minutes before I got free. I finished shopping after being in that store for a while and bouncing off clothing racks (or having them bounce off of me) then we went to dinner in a nearby restaurant and my legs were in spasm for about 20 minutes or so. I got these confused looks from people, they probably were wondering why I was in a wheelchair if I could move my legs so well.... little did they know!
