Hi my name is Gabriella and I'm 17. I've had an SCI now for just over 2 years since I was 15 after a horse-riding accident. The ground was cold and hard that day and I was galloping on the horse when she stumbled over a rock and I was thrown over her head and landed on my lower back/bum and then fell backward. I was taken to the hospital where a scan showed a burst fracture at level L1 and it is complete. So that's how I'm here today, was searching on the net for people who have had similar experiences.

Hi Gaby,
Welcome from me too. Here there are so many of us with so many shared & similar experiences, all at varous places & stages & with heaps to offer in care, support, advice. I only just joined in Dec, after incomplete SCI in 2002 with fusion, great place to come for common journeys, advice, reassurance etc. Good to have friends with similar experiences - it helps a lot.

Take care
Susie
