Here's a question for you all. How old is your chair?

I've had mine 16 years since my accident. It is about on its last legs now and will be replaced next year.

Good God! You're using the same chair you got 16 years ago? And you're a C4/5 complete.

I'm on my forth one now, and I had my accident 17 years ago.

Time for a new one man

My 1st manual chair lasted me 2 years.
My 2nd and 3rd chairs each lasted 6 years.
My 4th chair has lasted 18 years!
(and it's travelled to 12 countries, on 5 continents!)

My 1st powerchair lasted me 6 years, and is still being used by the person I donated it to.
My 2nd powerchair has lasted 8 years.

It is the same 16'' Bec lightweight folding chair with powerpack that i had when i had my accident when i was 16. At 32 my sitting position etc hasn't changed at all and i don't need a wider chair. I guess i have been very lucky.
