Hello Everyone ;
My son has spina bifida and will be having his baclofen pump put in on January 17th. I can't get ahold of his doctor , she is on vacation until the day before his surgery. " My Luck " Anyway I was hoping that somebody that's had the surgery, could tell me about how is long the average hospital stay is. My son is 13 years old, so I am hoping he recovers really fast. I am new to the forum so I hope everyone can see this question, so that I can find out about everyone elses average hospital stay.

Thank you
Shadybug

Hi Shadybug,
Two days and nights for me, and that was because I couldn't keep food down from the pain meds (and also laying on my back for much longer than the surgeon specified, thanks to idiot nurses... my wife was furious when she came in the next morning). Also, I had a rough first night... lots of pain, sweating and nausea. My second night was much better.

Dave
