I know this topic should be under wheelchairs equipment but more viewers come here.

I was looking into rollerblade wheels and scooter wheels and saw that some of the bearing measurments might work for wheelchairs.
My question is has anyone tried this or any other modification using non wheelchair parts?

The bearings in rollerblades and wheelchairs are generally just generic bearings - the cheapest place for them is a bearing supplier and given the right size they'll be interchangable.

You can get rollerblade wheels from wheelchair suppliers for wheelchairs so I've no doubt it's possible. I keep toying with the idea of building some trick lightweight main wheels from cycle hubs and rims but it's really doing it for the sake of it rather than for any saving in cost or increase in performance and sizing push rims also becomes a problem.
