If only I had some money to create a problem...........

You know, if you and your g/f are happy tell everyone to mind their own business. Use your own head. You know what a red flag looks like. If you see any of them going up then be concerned. You know if she's sincere. You know what you and she have. Actions often speak louder than words. If something isn't right you'll see it. You'll feel it. Don't look for trouble and don't let others bring it to your door.

Why do people presume this?
Is she a beauty and you the beast? Or could she of found about the cash some way...even if you can't think how she could possibly have?
Me personally, I think I'd be able to tell if someone was with me for money or something!

I was with a girl once and she was using me.....for my 9 inch willy :)

By the way, I'm a right nosey git...........How much you got ?? :drooldrip:

Dude, never worry about what "they" say, as long as you are savvy about your business.
If you love her and pay attention, f*@k em'.
BTW, if it were me, I'd tell them to shut the hell up and mind their own business.
Sounds like jealously to me, money and relationship.

You're going to be 18????? Oh my , I remember MY first beer!! LOL

I tend to agree with the others here, YOU know what your relationship is or is not... and if you don't you will learn soon enough. You're young and love and money mean different things when you're at different ages in life.

Stand firm and do what you feel is right and best for both of you!!

Thats not a bad little nest egg my friend. However, spend wisely as it might not last too long otherwise.
Invest in property. Thats my little tip.

Either that or get a brand new Ferrari adapted and tear the road up! :drooldrip:

200,000 is not a lot of money, when you think about how long you live your life. Invest some of it, and overtime you will be so much further ahead then what you are now. As for the girl using you for your money, it's hard to say. But I think in time if you will know for sure.

Be Wise my friend!!! 200,000 may sound like a lot at 18 yrs old, but even if you don't spend a penny of it, if you're earning 8% you will only be making 16,000/year or 1333/month. I give this advice only because as a C6-7 complete quad who has spent 22 years as a financial consultant, I've seen many instances like yours where the plans for a "super cool house" w/ parties, etc etc result in the money going "poof". And once it's gone, after a couple of years the cool house, tricked van, rockin' stereo have to be sold because it can't be afforded.
Good Luck to you- and as others have said, only you can really determine whether your g/f is after your $$.

Very good advice there from the FA....and the girlfriend? there will be soooooo many more to come! Be wise and invest it and keep it to yourself thats my advise (from someone with no money)

I hate to be the one to throw a wrench in this lovefest. The truth is you are only 17. Many say you'll know if your girl is into you just for the cash. You may be the last to know. I would listen closely to your elders and friends and put some stock into what they are saying. I'm not saying they are right but it would be a mistake to dismiss their concerns without even considering them.

I know when I was 17 my ability to read the ladies was not the best. Truthfully, no man can claim to be an expert. The longer we live and the more we do or don't get burned are the tools we use to hone our ability to "read" the ladies. You have little of both.

I'd listen to bgarber about the finances too. 200 grand won't put you beside the pool sippin' margaritas for the rest of your life.

Just be careful and smart man.
