I discovered that I couldn't find cath extensions for my urinary caths. I solved this one at my local farm store by buying clear plastic tubing for 15 cents per foot. Some time later I found where to get my extensions. At a considerably higher price. Needless to say I still use the cheaper ones. Also, state law requires me to have a "spinner knob" on my steering wheel to drive. Everyplace I found that would install them wanted $80-$95 for one. Once again my local farm store sold me one for $6.95 - $8.50 for a chrome one!

Also, check eBay for spinner knobs. There always seems to be quite a few for sale. Including old ones from the 60s.

The local medical supply store wanted $350.00 CDN for 3 feet ( 1 meter) of ceiling track, roller and fancy bar. The local farmers (UFA) only wanted $35.00 for 8 feet of the same track (barn door track), roller but no bar. Makes you wonder why the medical places mark everything up so much.
