Im not true Australian but my maternal grand father was born in Stawell just outside Melbourne. Does that count?? :D

Actually I'm a heinz 57/ mongrel, my mother and maternal grandmother are Norwegian,(hence the thick blonde hair!) my father is South African, my paternal grandparents were Scottish and English. I was 'made' in South Africa but born in England.

and me too from Sydney Australia, born & bred here but have always loved escaping to quiet country places (too far in car since injury) so now i content myself with Sydney things like snorkelling & the occasional trip to Far Nth Qld for warmth & paradise & real quiet; but i sure miss Australian places where you feel at night like the Milky Way star belt is right there above your head with a star every millimetre of space - what a beautiful country. Hi all of you!!!

Hi there

Slowly but surely we Aussies are crawling out of the woodwork and responding.

Funny I was only thinking this morning of lodging the same post, then stumbled upon this in the CAFE

I'm from outback north western NSW - Moree

Dry, dusty, more flies here then in a Levi factory and the people are "rough as guts"!!!

I WOULDN'T live anywhere else in the world!!
