hi guys and gals,

i'm trying to sort out my b'day, yes i know it's a few months away but because this b'day is extra special i'd like to have some experiences to go with it. i know that there will need to be a lot of planningover the next few months hence why i'm starting now. i'm calling it 'no material items, but lots of fab memories please'.

i got to thinking that since my sci i haven't been able to be me for many reasons. i also don't really have any pleasant memories to share with new friends, it just feels like a light went out permanently and i have a blank space post sci. things are going to change!

here's where i'd love your help. can anyone think of anything that i could do for me this b'day that i can then share stories of etc with family and friends?

thanks,
laura

Well I turn 21 too this comming saturday, so now I'm legal finally...I still dont know what I'm going to do, prolly goto a bar or too and see how drunk I can get...

This will be my first b/d since my injury so Its going to be interesting.

Before my accident I was going to have a huge party with a band and food, and alot of beer, but I never got to fix up our shed to have it :badmood:

Wow, thinking that far back...I just turned 33 two days ago. Really the only thing that makes turning 21 special is the ability to drink legally here in the US. Other then that it's nothing special. So maybe take in a wine tasting or something like that. On my 21st I went to the liqour store and bought a ton of whiskey and a few kegs. Spent like $400. The kegs and quite a bit of it went that night as I had a big party out in a pasture in the country. We built a big ass bon fire and partied till we puked(nothing to be proud of). The next day I woke up with a hell of a hang over but other wise it there was nothing new in my life.

But if you feel you just having been living like you should, regardless of age then use your birthday as just that. I new birth to a new you. I've been filling pretty empty with my day to day life for the last several years but haven't been able to motivate myself to change. I woke up on the birthday though Sunday morning and changed the way I do things. For the last 2 days I've been doing stuff I've been meaning to do for years. So while the day was nothing special, only another year passed, I did use it as a new beginning for me for the rest of my life.

that party sounds like what we do, or did do...I havent been included with most of my "friends" at all...I guess they just forget about somebody who can't do what they used to. Yeah I used to be a heck of a partier :badmood:
