Dear Friends,
Firstly i thank the forum owner for taking me to his group. My name is Vishal & i am from india. I wanted to share my experience of my treatment which i undergone at China for my spinal cord injury which i got from an road accident 5 & half years back.
I was admitted on 1st november 2006 at Wanjee hospital, Qingdao, china which is 1 hour journey in flight from Beijing. & the operation was done on 6th nov. operation time is 4 hours.
As told by the doctor Mr. Haunghong yun that i will know the improvement after 24 hours of operation, but till date i didn't gain anything.
Hospital is very good with all facility to stay for 2 persons, but the rehabilitation department is not good (very less equipments).
I met with all the patients who came there for the treatment nearly 20 peoples, all are foreigners from different parts of the world. In that only one persons had got some movement in his feet.
Main doctor is very busy, he visits the hospital only on operation date, at the time of inserting the cells into spinalcord. All other things are done by his assistance doctors.
All patients have to stay for 30 days after the operation. the total cost is US $20,000 which includes all.
Nearly 80% of the patients shout at the doctor when they saw nothing improvement, some say that this is a easy money making buisness.
My personal openion is if you injured your spinal cord in not less 1 year & there is a connection in the spinalcord (ie., the nerve is not cut) you can try this experimental procedure. If you are lucky you may get some improvement.
ONE THING I OBSERVED THERE IS THE DOCTORS SAYINS TO ALL THE PATIENTS THAT "YOUR DAMAGE IS MORE" (Please note).
Friends i am not a rich person, i gone there by collecting donations from my colleges and friends, now we are all disappointed. Now i suffer from a bedsour
If you want any clarification please contact me. ( I have photos of the hospital & doctor)
Thankyou
Sincerely,
Vishal.
