Quote

Wheelchair Bodybuilding is relatively new with shows dating as far back as 1994. As time went on only a few amount of people knew that competitions for wheelchair bodybuilders even existed.

Wheelchair Nationals in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is the biggest wheelchair bodybuilding show in the World! Yet the number of participates keeps decreasing each year. The ultimate goal is to make wheelchair bodybuilding BIGGER and BETTER than EVER! But we will never achieve this without your help. If you know someone that is wheelchair bound please tell them about this website. If you are thinking about competing and never done a show before don't be afraid. I will be more then happy to help and guide you with any questions you have.

A lot of questions will be answered on the "Competing" page. Also, checkout "The Pro's" page! That will tell you how to become a PROFESSIONAL WHEELCHAIR BODYBUILDER!!! Also showing you who all are among the elite ranking! Also ask questions and leave message in the message board it is ALL-FREE!!!

So train heavy, train hard and I'll see you at next years Nationals!

There's some serious steroid abuse in that picture.

I am not into the steroid look but that is awsome! I was into weight lifting pretty serious when I was AB and am trying to get back into it again but with rehab 3x a week still its tough to do much else other than learning the things I am working on there still. I was never into the steroid scene and dont like when someone gets too big but that is still aswome to see that those crazy big muscles on people in wheelchairs too!

Beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder, because I find body building totally unattractive. Worse still are women bodybuilders......totally repulsive.

Give me a man who exercises his brain instead!!!

Agreed that there is a point where it gets gross, and I am a female who was into weight lifting although I looked nothing like the traditional body builders as women are not able to get like that without steroids, if you check out natural body building competitions you will see the size of both men and women much much smaller than the traditional body building competitions. I lift weights routinely and I have a college degree as do some of the guys I used to know that did that. Some of them are the steriotypical meat heads but there are a decent amount of them that have college degrees and own their own companies. I think its great to see anyone in a wheelchair doing what people would never expect and I think body building is one of those things.

There is a difference between how a fit person looks and how a body builder looks. Just because you lift weights and exercise to stay fit looking and healthy doesn't mean you have muscles on top of muscle. Who says a fit or even a muscled up guy or girl can't have brains? If I had my choice I'd be a fit smart person over a unfit, unhealthy smart person.
