I've tried calling around a few places, and have even looked a bit on the internet, but I have yet to find anything that'll lead me to information to be able to do all the sport stuff that I want to here in the central valley of California. Would anyone know where I should look for all of this?

To give you an idea, I'm more interested in trying more non-team, outdoors-type things such as surfing, (possibly) "skateboarding", hang gliding, skiing (tried already, but I'd love to get back into it), glider plane flying (again, same as the skiing), kayaking, mountain climbing, ETC., although the more non-conventional team type sports such as rugby or fencing or something of the like could be kind'a interesting to at least check into too.

A bit of this I've already tried and actually do when I get the chance (I bodyboard, dirtbike, ETC.), but yeah… some of the other stuff just wouldn't be the best idea to try to wing it on my own with getting a trainer or something first. Haha.

Well, www.Liferollson.org has some good resources as well as this forum. I find that with most things like this, you have to just do it yourself to succeed. Nike said it best, Just Do It!

you could probably call a rehab center near you and talk to the recreation therapist, I'm sure they could help.

Life rolls on will be holding the "They will surf again" event in the next few weeks....If you are looking to start surfing, I would highly recommend going...It's by far the safest enviroment you could ask for.

Yeah? Where at? I couldn't find any tour dates or anything, but then again I just skimmed through the website at the moment.

I'm currently in the central valley (Fresno area) of California, but I'll be moving back down to San Diego county pretty soon. Any chance there'll be anything around those areas?
