Was talking to my guy this morning about ways to adapt my leg bag so I can empty it myself. Am a C5/C6 and use the small bags made by Manfred Sauer as they are much better for us girls who like to wear short skirts from time to time.........

Have tried various things in the past, like putting a ring through the lever at the bottom and pull it. It kinda works but sometimes they are too stiff and then it drips all overbthe chair instead. We tried to put a piece of plastic tubing on the end which gave better aim but restricted what I could wear, unless you tied it up under one of the leg bag straps which made it difficult to get out.

Can anyone help? Limited hand function is the main obstacle.

Thanks,

Rachel

wheelierach: I am a male so it is much easier to wear loose cargo pants where I can just pull it up and down even though the tube of the leg bag reaches only along the knees. One time I had to slit open my pants concealing it with a velcro just to have the leg bag tube exposed so I can drain it.

Really no suggestions for the leg bag but don't give up on exercising and flexing the hands. Time will ultimately restore it back even though not 100%

I'm a C/6 quad and found a leg bag that i can empty very easily on my own.Since then i've had to use different ones a few times and i found it much more difficult. If you're still interested, let me know and i'll give you the info for the one i use and the minor adaption i make to it.
