Hope you do not mind me asking but lately I have been thinking of trying calipers, sometimes I just think how nice it would be to reach an object or wear trousers ( have trouble pulling them up)!!
I am nearly three years post injury and T12\L1 I have good muscle movement at the top of my legs at the front sorry do not know the name of muscle? :dev: . I exercise on my bike and also use a standing frame.
I know I will never walk but I think how nice it would be to stand up to my kids they have grown past me now or even a bar hehe!!
I could not find many people on the internet that have had them and the few that did there was no information on how they coped did it make life better health wise or how long they used them for and if there were any problems.
Also does anyone know if you can get them on the NHS in the UK to go private it is around
£27,000. I just fee I should be doing something and feel a little lost
Thankyou for reading

I went to Shefield with a friend who's having them measured and fitted and watched him in them for the first time between the parallel bars. He has no leg movement and to be honest it looked very hard swinging his legs round and on crutches, if he fell, he'd struggle to get up. They're on the NHS I think so if you want to try, go for it. Contact your physio. Can't do any harm I suppose?
C-5 Incomplete, Diving Accident in Mexico. Walking with crutches, In controlled pain !
Big respect to all SCI people !

Just to look and check my cassorole rather than stir from blind!! I have wanted to keep everything normal for the rest of the family but before they go off to school there is always something out of my reach. Thanks again I will let you know how I get on :D
