I've always been told that my injury level was complete since I have no sensation below my injury level and there is no movement either. Here is the thing, I sweat below my level of injury. The doctor says it is a sign that my injury my be incomplete which is good but I also find it annoying. (I also have control of my ab muscles below my level, also good sign)

When I wake up in the morning my legs are all sweaty and the sheets are a little damp. It also occurs when I am sitting, the area under my legs gets damp and sweaty. I do my pressure relief and all that stuff but that doesn't make a difference. I've also made sure it could not be any of the AD signs either. In the summer time it is really bad. One time I laid on my stomach for an hour and by the time I rolled back over the front of my pants were soaked with sweat.... sounds gross, I know! Being a girl I hate feeling all yucky and sweaty.

I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there are any tips someone could give me? And what does your doctor say about the sweating?

Thanks!!

Hi Jessee,
Try taking propanthalene. 15 mg. 3 times a day. I call it my sweat pill. I've been taking it for about 30 years. It dries you out, especially dry mouth. I've found it doesn't always work but it does help.

Thanks Moonshadow! I'll look into the propanthalene you mentioned. My doctor has mentioned a drug to me before but I was trying to avoid taking another pill, Ya know what I mean? I just worry about taking too many meds. I already feel like I take a ton!

My sons leg sweats alot as well, but it goes in spurts...sometimes it is ice cold and his left leg will feel warm and other times it feels cold and yet sweaty he is a incomplete but it seems that the right side of his body is the one that is always cold/sweating...just always the right leg, never the left. Not real sure why this is either. But what i can tell you is that we started out as a complete in Oct of 2006 and were diagnosed as incomplete in Dec of 2006 he has alot of movement...able to walk with no braces...just useing a cain when outside of the home...works out alot at a fitness center, but when he works out it seems as though his right leg stays cool and yet sweats...we can't figure it out either.

The only time I had my legs showing some sweat symptom was when I got a little wound that got infected ... very VERY small wound from the outside but bad infection ...

Maybe you could also check your skin ...

Thats one thing i miss was sweating as an AB because it relieved stress. Now all i can do is yell(which upsets my body) or find something to keep my mind off my problem.

The only large amt. of sweat i have is around where my excess fat is around my stomach(sorry about that picture). Need to lose my weight,i know. I wake up wet,on a different matter, due to bladder spasms. I wish it was sweat.Dr. said its because all my fluids go to the bladder when lying down.

I have the same problem. I am a t6-t8 incomplete and my lower back and legs tend to sweat. My lower back tends to sweat if I have to go to the bathroom or had an accident.
