Boma Off Road Wheelchair

Boma is the solution for off road mobility for individuals with mobility impairments such as paraplegia and tetraplegia.

* Wheelchair add-on cycles and electric trikes suffer from poor range, traction and stability...
* Downhill wheelchairs need hills; without them they are heavy to push...
* Other off road vehicles are difficult to transfer into, heavy to push, bulky and limited in range...

Boma is the solution.

Boma has all round adjustable independent suspension with 7.5cm travel. Two 36V motors provide independent drive to the rear wheels giving speed ranges of 0-4mph and 0-8mph, complete with regenerative braking to recharge batteries as you slow down.

Product Feature

Balanced Magura hydraulic disc brakes give sure footed braking.
Dampened coil sprung independent front suspension to keep the wheels in contact with the surface.

Balanced front hydraulic disc brakes give added stopping power when needed. Control of braking, acceleration and steering can be done without the need for hand function due to the bespoke handlebar arrangement.

<... Independent rear suspension with adjustable coil or air spring units; a smooth ride over rough terrain.

<... For easy transport the Boma breaks down into manageable sections; front wheels, front and rear frame sections, rear wheels and carriers and the battery packs. Boma can be carried in most family sized cars.

Easily Transported:

Boma can dismantle into six components for simple transport in the back of a medium family size car; backrest collapses, rear wheels are removed, front wheels removed

Price: £5,995
(Includes: Boma chair with standard seating, Two NiMH batteries & charging unit. Excludes delivery)
International shipping can be arranged.

Looks a bit like a go-kart :specool: similar idea to the beach wheelchairs but more bulky...i wonder if there any room for a passanger on the back.

Does anyone know where i can get one of these second hand? as £5g's is a little out of my budget :ranting: i miss not being able to go on the beach with my teenage freinds & the forests during the long school holidays & having tested one of these @ the beyond boundaries exhabition in Surry last year i know its for me & am anxious to get one before the summer hols start again as i dont want to be left sitting on the sea wall :) whilst all my m8s play on the sand. If anyone knows of anyone who has one for sale please be in touch or if you know of any funding sources for one that would be gr8 the NHS said no :( :badmood:
