i really dont know what to do im due to have an op on my womb in six weeks and i know i will need time to recover but my problem is that my partner is due to have his appointment with his nuro surgeon around about the same time to see what op he has to have next due to his multible syringomyelia.
in the past he has had 2 shunts put in to both lungs to to drain the spinal fluid also a lamanectamie
in all hes had 7 nuro op's and i know hes scared. so am i.
i need to be there for him, i cant let him go through this alone,,,
the other thing is we dont live together even though we have been together over a year( long story waiting for a bungalow to come up) so i have to travel 257 miles by train to be with him which i do every 4 weeks.
so i really dont know what to do.

super difficult question to answer, i suggest you go ahead and do what you need to do, because you can't care after others without taking care of yourself, hard as it may be i suggest you take care of yourself first.

good luck with your decision

Think:

How important is this surgery for you, and can it wait? If not, does he want you to wait?? Is yours a life threat?? Put yourself first, if your bad off, then you can't be there for him. If it can wait, how long must it wait?? Do you have time to wait to take care of yourself?? If it threatens your life to wait, then DON'T, I know he will understand...then afterwards, go to him. If it does not, then go to him and then schedule yours for a later date. Talk to him...

AGAIN:

Take care of yourself so you can take care of him when you do go to him, you can't take care of him or be there for him if your hurting or sick......or worse.....
Everyone deserves to be loved, NO EXCEPTIONS
