I am in the market for a new chair so am searching for the web for as many different kinds as I can find. I ran on to these and thought I would share them. I am from a small rural town in Missouri and have NEVER seen a chair anything like this. Be sure and check out the dragon and the chopper by clicking on each image and looking at the close up. I am just so taken by them and wish that more chairs were made this way as opposed to the "drugstore/hospital" design. If anyone knows of similar chair designs please let me know. My guess is they exist I just don't know where to find them.

Lasher Sport vchairs are great. They are custom made, so they are on the expensive side (a chair I was planning on getting was around $9000). I tried wheelchair racing earlier this month though and I thought about it and instead of getting a Lasher Sport chair like I had planned, I decided to get a Top End Eliminator OSR racing chair, and a Top End Crossfire Titanium. Even with carbon fiber sideguards, a carbon fiber backrest, and Spinergy lx wheels it will still cost the same as a Lasher Sport chair, and I will be able to start racing sooner! I'm going to see if I can make an apointment to go to Tampa, Florida in April and get measured for the racing chair. You get measured at the factory monday morning, go back on thursday and make sure the mesurements are right then they paint the chair and you can bring it home on friday morning! Also with the Top End Crossfire, you can have a lot fo the same options as Lasher Sport chairs. You can choose to have a tapered seat, the seat width the footrest width, and even have an ergo seat.

Thanks for the input. More than anything I thought the craftsmanship was impressive -- I don't know any other chairs with such craftsmanship. That's what I'm really looking for. Unique designs that aren't the same old boxy style. Medicare will only buy one every 5 years so I am researching extensively trying to make sure I don't end up with something that looks great but is a b--ch to use.

I am looking for more of an off-roads chair and one of the models I am considering is the Beast by Lasher (BT-ATB). Currently not enough $$ as this would be an out of pocket expense for me and still trying to deal with medical bills and rehab expenses so... one day though hopefully I will have money for one. TerraTrek is the other front runner for an all-terrain chair for me and are about half the price of the Lasher but I hear Lasher makes a really good chair if you can afford them.

I love the look of these chairs, but the price is way out of league.
LIFE IS NOT A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION OF ARRIVING SAFELY IN A PRETTY AND WELL PRESERVED BODY,
BUT RATHER TO SKID IN BROADSIDE, THOROUGHLY USED UP, TOTALLY WORN OUT, AND LOUDLY PROCLAIMING----WOW----WHAT A RIDE!!!

Regards

Marty
