Your pump should not have twisted no matter what you were doing. There should not have been enough room for your pump to twist, no matter what shape your stomach is in. Your doctor did a sloppy job and I would definately find a new one.

hi there sorry to hear your pump as twisted your pump should not have twisted, no matter what your size is and how active you are .they have 4 loops on them two at the top and two at the bottom which get stitched to your muscle so they won't move . well i got fitted in 1994 with my 1st pump and that had loops on the top and bottom so am assuming yours will be the same and i am a very very active para and in the six years of using a baclofen pump never once did i have any problems of mine twisting or moving. i would be asking my consultant who did the surgery some serious questions .wish you all the best in getting the problem sorted

meme,
I lost a lot of weight too because of having to exert so much effort to do the everyday routine (due to overall muscle weakess). The problem is that I was skinny to start with, so after losing 13 pounds the pump really sticks out. My wife doesn't mind, but I think it looks gross. The surgeon joked that you'd be able to read "Medtronics" through my skin! It is great that I can eat as much as I want and not gain weight.
