Have Your Emc Brakes Failed?

I'm doing some research and would like to know if anyone has had a issue with their EMC brake ever failing. Have you been driving down a road/a freeway and needed to brake, but when you pulled back...the brake did not initiate. I would like to know as much information and if you had an accident as a result. I'm particularly interested in the L series AEVIT.
