Hi, I am a male, I recently became a C.A.A.S client and am wondering if there are others here as well, they have a large selection of products but I am unsure what to get, I am inclined to get reusable products as I consider that the way to go, can someone tell me which are good value?

I recieve CAAS too. My advice, type out a list of all the product you'll use in a year then go hunting for cheapest prices. For argument's sake, I get my gloves from CAAS but my catheters from another company. I get my senakot from CAAS too.

Hi Bulky, I have to choose well, it can be expensive, being on the disabled pension, not much of a cash flow, thats why I prefer reusable products, what I do is buy quality, I find in the long run it out lasts by doing so I can make ends meet with caas, only just.

Fair enough. I'm non-compensated but have fought hard with DHS to get additional funding. It my condition, neuro/disease SCI, I need more $ that CAAS gives me.

Depends what products you use and how often.

For example I reuse some things by cleaning them with milton.

I tend to get the more expensive/ specialised things through CAAS ie: legbags, catheters, gloves, connectors and the less expensive things like cranberry, coloxyl, through paraquad / and online pharmacy.

I go online to the Intouch website and check out the prices of their products and also shop around for my tablets etc, for example i get my cranberry through Golden Glow for half the price as paraqud/ chemists.

I also get my enemas via PBS on prescription as it is cheaper then the $12.50 freight PARAQUAD NSW charges to deliver the free item.

Don't forget to keep all of your receipts and if over the medical threshold for tax purposes claim the medical expenses rebate even though the DSP is non taxable, this includes such items as appliances/ aides.

But like I said initially, really depends on what you use the most of and waht is the most expensive.

Hope this helps

Cheers
