Hi xeena,

I'm so glad that you found us too! I felt pretty alone when I found the site and I'm in the middle of the U.S.

There are a lot of great people here to share with and learn from and talk to be it serious or just a good laugh.

Welcome!

Hi xeena and welcome. I have found the forum to be so very helpful. There is a site www.joniandfriends.org and Joni is in a wheelchair. Her site tells all about her and things she does. She travels to places like nigeria and takes wheelcairs to the people who have no access to chairs. Those that no longer need a chair for whatever reason can donate their chair and if it needs work the men in some of the prisons in the US fix them for free. Her site is great and inspirational. Wish you the best and welcome.

Hi Xeena,
I'm really glad you found this site..I only found it last year but wish I had found it years ago while living in a remote community in Australia where, as you say..It was better if I was not seen or heard!
Maybe you could look at starting a myspace page up as well..I talk to a girl from Africa who's also in a wheelchair..I think she lives in Durban..?..and her boyfriend lives out near Kruger national park, so she travels quite alot...it would be great if you could chat to her.
Love juls :)

Welcome Xeena! You have found a precious source of information, friendship and a haven for when the burden of your injury seems to heavy to carry. Take a look around and discover all there is for you here.

Again, welcome.

Welcome, xeena!! How very fortunate that you found this wonderful forum. Simon did a great thing, didn't he? I am AB but my b/f is a C4,5,6 incomplete. There's loads of information here for us all, SCI and AB with SCI friends, b/f, g/f, etc. In sharing your knowledge, experiences, thoughts, etc., you'll never know just who you might help and inspire; and hopefully you'll be inspired and helped. I'm very much a firm believer in asking questions if the need be. Feel free to do that here. I'm glad you've found a whole group of friends....the more the merrier!! :)
B/F is Quad C 4,5,6 incomplete as of July 27, 1969.
