I'm still relatively new to here so my apologies if this topic has already been done to death...

I've just had 2 weeks holidays from work & by the end of it I was getting very bored! I'm certain I'm not the only one here who finds it hard at times to discover something to keep my mind occupied, so lets share the love shall we?

What do you use as an 'escape'?
What hobby/activity/etc keeps you occupied & cures your boredom?

Thanks for the input guys n gals :)

Good to see a few are into art! I've been known to sketch in my spare time also, only when I'm feeling creative though :) Would love to see some of your work!

I also spend far too much time in front of this cursed machine (I'm sure some of you can relate :)), & Texaswheelz: my latest time waster is DDO... check it out! Awesome fun, in a nerdy kinda way, & not too reliant on fine-motor-skills (not an issue for you I know, but helps a lot for me!).

Keep 'em coming :specool:

I like to read, write, do photography, and absolutely anything outdoors. It looks like I'm not the only one who thinks similarly. ***Great minds think alike! :specool:

My favorite outdoor activities are kayzaking and walking my dog.

Treasure hunting...auctions and yard sales...tomorrow is Saturday and we will get up and get started by 6:30. Last Saturday was really our first yard sale day of the season and it was a beautiful warm sunny day. There were about a dozen sales advertised and there are always some where people just set stuff out in their yards for sale without advertising it in the paper. I told my girls that I am so happy when we are out together on yard sale days. I feel so normal even if I am in a chair. We see friends. It's good natured competition with the other regulars as to who beats who where and who gets the treasure or the bargain.

Sometime we'll fit breakfast in at a local mom 'n pop restaurant.

Then there's a big estate auction out in the country that starts later in the morning. That's always a little more challenging. It's rained quite a bit this week so I may not be able to get around in the grass there but we'll go and see. We'll at least get to see our friends and spend some time chatting even if we don't stay to buy. It's supposed to be a beautiful sunny day again and being out of the house with family and friends and sunshine makes me happy...that's my escape.

meditating, writing poetry or short stories very slowly, exercising, on the deck looking out across the river & parklands, quality friends to be real with, more meditating, the endless search for comfortable shoes that are easy to get on.

I listen to music, read, write, go out with friends as often as I can, go to church, and stay on this machine.

I am into SIMS. I make towns and people in this game (for those who have never heard of it). Anyway I spend hours and hours on/at it. I have some wheelchairs for my game......but they rarly get used. I also love to scrapbook. I'm a big car lover but especially MINIcoopers. I go swimmin at our pool. I spend time loving and scolding my cat. You know the stuff I do when I'm NOT SIMMING
*Enjoy every sunset, but be grateful for every dawn.*
*Wheelchairs are made of a special ocular magnetic alloy......they're "eyeball magnets".*
*I USE a wheelchair, that does NOT make ME a wheelchair!*
