I had the pump put in 4/6 and immediately (that first night) noticed a lot of relief from my spasicity, despite the pain of the incisions.

After about a week of great relief I began noticing a slow resumption of the spasicity in my legs and feet. Today I am not as spastic as I was pre-pump, but it seems to be getting there.

I've only had one titration (increase) to 55 micro grams, from the original 50.

I recall thinking right after the surgery, with the relief I was already noticing, that I couldn't wait to get up move around, exercise a little and really explore the benefits, but ....

Is it just a process, 3 - 4 months, of continual doctor appointments and increases before the right dosage is found?

Thanks,

Mike

I see that lots of people are 'viewing' this post, any chance somebody could help me?

I've learned over the years, as most of you probably have, that doctors are great a diagnosing things, but it is up to us to treat and find solutions.

Yeah, Mike, it could take a little while till you get to the level is right for you. I am at 1630 a day so don't give up. I've been spasm free for 7 years. Had a lot of spasticity before that. Just hang in there Mike and keep on the doc.

HI MIKE,
My name is Gina. Just a thought...you were talking about the continual doctor's appointments & increases....did you know there is a company that will come right to your home to do the refills, increases, readings, etc. It's alot easier and saves time and WAITING at the doctors---more time to explore those benefits. If you want to know more just write me back, okay?
Good luck.................Gina
