I° VERTICAL CONGRESS - THE RESEARCH PROMISE IN THE SPINAL CORD INJURY
The “I° Vertical Congress” aims at involving as many persons as possible, as well as the media and sponsors, and at witnessing the willingness of the Foundation to become a concrete reality at a National level for the cure of spinal cord injuries. The “I° Vertical Congress” will allow to take stock of the situation at an international level, in order to finally turn disinformation into transparent and accountable information.

The “I° Vertical Congress” main objectives are:

• Assess the progress made by scientific research carried out with stem cells and other types of systems aiming at the central nervous system’s regeneration, in order to better enhance future financial resources that the Foundation will place at the science’s disposal;
• Raise the Institutions’ awareness on the need to support Research for the cure of Paralysis;
• Become a catalyst for interaction and participation in Italy of all para-quadriplegic persons to the Foundation’s activities;
• protect health care and promote a correct information for a cautious assessment of the scientific applications underway.


Target of the “I° Vertical Congress”
The participation target is about 150/200 persons; among these persons there will be the most important professional man and woman working in this field. The visitors’ geographical place of origin is International. The estimated number of Italian and foreign speakers is 8-12 for one-day session, alternated with proper moments of break.

Internationality, great scientific value, strong institutional and communication importance, a broad but highly selected target: all these elements will be inserted within the framework of a prestigious location, a high level management structure, and the potential interest of the media. These are the main reasons why enterprises, public and private bodies and associations should get involved in the implementation of the “I° Vertical Congress – Research’s Promise in Spinal Cord Injuries” initiative.
