I currently subscribe to PN Magazine, "Paraplegic News" which is distributed by the PVA and although I enjoy most of it's content I'd rather find a publication that contains more detailed articles on health/equip. As well, I would like to subscribe to an online version as I prefer to do away with unnecessary use of paper and printed matter for egological reasons. (Currently PN only posts partial content on their site)

Do any of you subscribe to or know of a good publication? I don't care to pay for a subscription to find I don't care for it's content.

Here's a link to PN News if you'd like to take a peek:

I suscribe to the "sister" magazine to that one, Sports 'n Spokes. It is truly an awesome magazine; it has showed me that there a A LOT of oppurtunities to be active as a wheelchair user with photos and articles for real proof. This may sound silly, but here it is- I truly credit that publication with helping to make me the person I am today, not seeing limits and instead seeing possibilities!
I look foward to reading it every month and have even started a "quiet revolution" for equality for those with disabilities by leaving the mag where it will be read again. My feeling is this helps to educate those who were not aware of the many opportunities available. I'd dfefinitely recommend checking out Sports 'n Spokes. It only seems to be available through subscription and not on newstands, unfortunately! Maybe someday. . .

P.S. They have a great website, too! They arew also published by the PVA.

Thanks for the input. I used to subscribe to S&S myself years ago.. back in the 80s. I should have another look as I'm sure it's advanced since then.

In the UK the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) have a regular two monthly newsletter sent to members free of charge. It nearly always has some decent information and some alternative points of view.

In the U.S, you can register with the NSCIA for free, and get access to their newsletter which is a .pdf file.

Register here: http://www.spinalcord.org

And then go into the members area, and into the publications section.

I just found that you can access the .pdf versions of SCLife by using this directory link:

http://spinalcord.org/members/scilife/

You will not need to register to access this area, even though they're free, I don't know how long this access will last for.

So, download them while you can!

Regards

Simon.
