Hello everyone.
I am 39 years old. I have been a quad since 23 years ago. I became a quad after a gun shot wound. Unlike thousands others like me. After finishing my High school, I attended the U and got my bachelor degree in Pharmacy. I am now practicing as a full time pharmacist. After three failed relationships, due to parents rejections, I finally met a girl who is 30 years old and who's mother did not object her daughter's intended marriage to me. I take baclofen 35 mg a day. I have some spasticity. I have recurrent uti. I underwent a surgery last Nov to do a cholostomy. I use to have unintentional erection whcich would last hours. Few years ago this stopped. I thought it was due to baclofen which I was on maximum dose of 70 mg a day. After reducing the dosage I regained some erection but very weak. I am worried about taking any penile injections or Viagra. I suffer from some autonomic dysreflexia whenver there is anything wrong with me. My wife to be and I have not had any sexual contact but of course she knows everything and anything about me. Any advice on how to make our sexual life successful? Wish you all best of luck. Thank you.

Hi Rabboua
Kevin (my Husband) had an accident 5 years ago ,he's an incomplete quad with a double SCI.
He has a lot of spasticity & been on Baclofen 160mg daily (this is the maximum dose that a Dr can prescribe in Australia) until a month ago .Now he is on 90mgs daily as he had some treatment that enabled him to reduce dose. He also gets dysreflexic at times.
I do not know how safe would be for you to become too excited if you get acute autonomic dysreflexia.
When you get dysreflexic does you partener know what to do to bring you BP down?
Perhaps at the moment you and wife to be need to consult a specialist and raise all issues including management of autonomic dysreflexia .
I have to asume that you are aware of the stroke possibility when your dysreflexia is not managed well.
