:H2kOther (26): I hope this is the right place for this question. My son's Dr. says that because his bones are so soft the screws holding the growing rods at the top of Matt's spine are backing off. He will have to have them replaced with hooks next month. Has anyone ever had this problem? Do the hooks seem to work better. His first rod surgery was a year ago with one extension in January. We go back in July for the next surgery. I know we have many more ahead, just wondered if anyone had any experience with the growing rods.

Thanks in advance!
