My son has been quad for 8 years, and back then we purchased Nike 'wind' pants, they are rip-stop nylon and work particularly good for him as he transfers many times a day. The nylon makes it very easy for him to slide from bed to transfer board to wheel chair to driver's seat, and back again... The problem is, we can't find those pants anymore. Does anyone have any ideas of another manufacturer who might make these? We need XXXL.

As this is an international forum, any answers you get may not help you too much in your local area. Are you not able to simply have someone make them in your local area? Local seamstress?
I usually buy a few pairs of the same thing here in Canada from a store called Zellars. They are brand name Cherokee. I think that's how they are spelled. They cost about $20.00 Canadian and I get them in XL myself. They are easy to get on. Button at the waist. Elastic along the back of the wait band. Velcro down the legs until the bottom where there is a zipper the final 6 inches (15cm).
Works for me, but they get cold in the winter up here. I usually change to a cotton pant that I buy from Costco, but transferring is a lot harder.
Good luck.
